Mercy Hospital

Mercy recently awarded contracts to Automated Controls Equipment Systems Inc. for upgrading outdated building automation systems across multiple sites, including Wildwood, Fenton, Tesson Ferry, Clarkson and Clayton.

Among these, the Clarkson and Clayton site stands out as the largest, boasting a sprawling 125,000 square feet medical facility.

ACES first established its partnership with Mercy upon the acquisition of St. Anthony's Hospital in 2018.

Mercy South has a longstanding collaboration with Automatic Controls, dating back to 1996. At Mercy South, the Advanced Logic Controls (ALC) system oversees the main hospital structures along with eight additional outbuildings and urgent care facilities scattered across the St. Louis area.

The ALC system serves as the nerve center, regulating operations from the central chiller/boiler plant to critical areas such as operating rooms, patient rooms, and computer facilities. Utilizing WebCTRL facility management technology, it effectively manages and monitors all HVAC and power-critical systems within the hospital premises.

Notably, a significant portion of the hospital's HVAC infrastructure is seamlessly integrated into the ALC system, accounting for approximately 40% of the zones throughout the facility.

By leveraging ACES’ expertise and technology advancements, Mercy aims to modernize its infrastructure, ensuring optimal efficiency, comfort, and reliability across its healthcare facilities.
